For the past 10 years, we’ve built a community that supports off-road enthusiasts while becoming the go-to custom fabrication shop and off-road center in Southwest Idaho. We specialize in suspension/lifts, lighting, re-gearing, custom fabrication and accessory installs. We also supply parts for your DIY projects and can help make sure you’re getting the right ones. Our Team
John Lundberg
John is the owner of Boise 4x4. With over 35 years of experience in off-roading and fabrication, John brings a wealth of knowledge to your build.
John started out at Brigham Young University, where he earned a degree in industrial design. He then spent 20 years using his engineering and design skills in the movie and toy industries, working on a variety of projects and constantly innovating to produce what each job needed. Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, was John’s go-to getaway. In his downtime, he rebuilt his 1973 CJ and then his 1969 Ford Bronco. John moved to Boise, Idaho, in 2003 and made his dream a reality by opening Boise 4x4. Today, Boise 4x4 has grown from a one-man operation into a thriving shop with four employees.
John is a certified Yukon Gear installer, lathe and mill machinist, MIG and TIG welder and CAD designer. His engineering and design background helps him understand the science behind the fun, so he can get you the best build for your 4x4.
He lives in Boise, Idaho, with his wife, Tanya, who is co-owner of Boise 4x4, and their Siberian Husky, Maverick. He and Tanya have three children who are pretty amazing people! He loves off-roading (of course), hiking, fishing, camping and motorcycle riding. His wife is trying to get him to like paddleboarding.
Tanya Lundberg
It all started in college with a muddy 1973 Jeep CJ. Tanya saw the mud-covered Jeep and asked who owned it. John heard her asking about his Jeep, and the rest is history.
Tanya and John married and have enjoyed off-roading together ever since that muddy beginning. Tanya is a trained registered nurse and has enjoyed working in many areas of nursing, from ICU and telemetry to school nursing.
As Boise 4x4 grew, the office management (the part John hated) became too much for one person to handle. Tanya started helping out at the shop after work and now works at Boise 4x4 full time.
Tanya takes care of the business side of things, from human resources and bookkeeping to marketing.
Tanya loves her family, the outdoors and her 2018 Jeep Rubicon.
